Joe Moore told about 20 residents gathered at the Sherwin Manor Nursing Home for the meeting that a parking lot is permitted under existing residential zoning. Moore said his office consulted with the Chicago Landmarks Commission, which reported that the building is not architecturally significant.

I do think the gay bashing takes away from your argument and gives Skelts people some head room, no pun inteaded.
I also like Jello in fact we've broken bread a few times. Yes exterminate all gangs and redeploy the trash else where.

If the school is historic or significant why don't all the folks that want to save it open there wallets and buy it. There. Simple solution.

More often than not, meetings like this are NOT well publicized and notices only reach a small fraction of the ward's population. Of that fraction, not everyone is going to be interested. This type of situation certainly isn't limited to the 49th ward, unfortunately.
Only a handful of people ever take action against most problems anywhere. Like it no not, that's human nature.
not that many people care to take the time to come out and tell someone what they can do with their private property. if the plan complies with the zoning, people should stfu.
i think toto hit it on the head. buy the building, or at least find some investors to do so.

C'mon the guys uses Satan for a name and you're taking him seriously.
